Q. How do I order?

A. All my caricature illustrations are created by first sketching the person/people to be drawn from a couple of recent and close up, (preferably smiley!) photographs sent either by post or as e-mailed JPEG’s. (The more photo’s from different angles the better - but don’t worry they will all be returned to you if sent by post!)

Sometimes when a subject is not photogenic, they can look different in each picture in which case I need to be told which photo looks the most like them. Remember I can only draw from what is in the photograph
.

The more information you can give me about any specific details and colours you plan to co-ordinate on the big day etc. (I.e. eye colours or if the bride wear any particular unique earrings or likes her hair in a particular style? What type of flowers will be used for the bouquet? etc.) Attention to detail always enhances design.

It is possible to work from more difficult photographs but the more clearer, recent and close up the better. If I cannot work with a particular photograph I will let you know, but as I do not ask for any payment unless you are completely satisfied it is pretty risk-free. I can only try my best for you!

I will e-mail or post the sketched proofs back to you and to ensure satisfaction, I will not require ANY payment until AFTER the initial sketch work is approved!

A standard non-refundable artwork fee of £50 is required with each order; regardless of invite numbers which is standard practice with this type of product.

A minimum of half the complete cost will need to be paid as soon as initial sketch work has been approved and before I digitise the artwork. The remaining payment for the invites will only be required on completion of the order before I dispatch it to you. I feel this minimises risk to you, and hope it gives you even more confidence in myself, as well as the product.

Please Note: Posting can take much longer in terms of communication and e-mailing is much cheaper, quicker and convenient on both parts. You can also give me a call anytime as I am always on hand should you need me. I strongly believe in customer relations and appreciate it can be just as important as the product itself!

Q. Is the artwork fee a separate cost?

A. Yes, it will take quite a few hours to create your artwork, as it is drawn by hand before being digitally created and coloured to give the best reproduction quality.

However, This price is a discount price as the usual cost for me to create a simple caricature portrait, (Or any illustration) would start from at least £60.

This price also includes the cost of proofing and making any changes required.

My ‘Cartoon-Cature’s section contains samples of a variety of people & pets. Ideal as birthday presents, Christmas presents, anniversaries or retirement. A fun and original alternative for those who have everything or just a great sense of humour.

Q. I don't know exactly what I want, can you help?

A. Yes, I’m sure I can give you some ideas to help with the finished illustration. I could even draw the wedding venue or honeymoon destination with the characters. (Although more complicated drawings may be subject to additional charges, but will be individually priced.)

As all my products are made to order, I can actually create any background scene, theme, (Inc. hobbies etc.) and/or pose if you prefer.
Even if you have an idea for a different card style then just give me some idea of what you have in mind and I will do my best to help you out. (However, this may be subject to additional cost depending on individual requirements)

Q. If I don't like my proof what happens then?

A. I’ll keep drawing until you are happy! I won’t send anything to print or start any cutting and sticking until you are completely happy. (And only then will I require any payment…) This is a very special occasion and we can’t have anything being less than perfect for the bride and groom can we?!

Q. How long does it take?

A. I recommend for you to leave me at least 4-6 weeks to create your order.

Each order is different and created by hand so it can take time. If it is a rush order, I may be able to accommodate you, but depending on the time of year I can be very busy in peak times.

Q. How can I contact you?

A. The best way to contact me is by e-mail or by telephone on +44 (0)7734706948. E-mailing is more convenient if possible, as then I can also have a written record of your enquiry. (But please don’t hesitate to call if you don’t have access to email!)

Q. Can I order extra invites if I need them later?

A. Yes, I’ll keep all your details on record, so just let me know how many more you need. There is no minimum quantity and you won’t need to pay again for artwork if it has already been created.

Q. Do you supply other stationery products?

A. Yes. I can supply matching stationery too, from Order of Service to Posters and Tableplans. (Even animated e-cards!) The complete stationery range all featuring your own caricature portrait will certainly impress and entertain, whatever the occasion.
I am always in the process of developing new lines, and I can supply a whole range of wedding and party stationery. If you have an idea for an item or design, just let me know and I’ll do my best to help you out…

Q. Can I choose my own text for the card inserts?

A. Not a problem! You can have any text you like, and if none of the traditional layouts(PDF) take your fancy, then just e-mail or post me your alternative text. (Remember to check spelling and details!)

The personalised inserts are printed in black ink as standard, but can be faded to give a silver/grey instead. However there is no set design for these and you can have any text you wish if none of the following take your fancy…

You may wish to enhance the appearance of your inserts by adding coloured text which can replace the black at an additional cost of 25 pence (per card) for small, and 50 pence per square/large card. This might be nice for more colour co-ordination, but I find that black will do the job just fine.

Q. What about font styles?

A. There are tons of fonts to choose from, but I tend to stick to 4 or 5 styles that I feel are the best.(PDF) If you have a particular font style in mind, let me know, and I may have it, or at least something similar. I will also let you see the insert set up before printing.

Q. Can I order any samples?
A. Yes, but first of all, take note of your preferred card code from this guide before ordering. To order a sample, or if you are still unsure of what you want, please contact me and I will cater for your needs as best as possible.

Samples will be made up to order and will cost £1.50 each. Payment can be sent via cheque along with a stamped, self addressed envolope. Unfortunately, I have had to implement this measure to prevent time-wasters with no intention to buy.

If however, all you would like is a sample of a particular backing card, you can download this
PDF to choose your colour and I can send you a swatch at no charge. Alternatively, you could send ME a swatch of a colour you want and I will try and source a matching card for you. This will need to be discussed at time of purchase and may incur additional charges depending on the cost of using a one-off material which I don’t currently stock.

I am confident that you will not find another artist/company that can supply you with this product at the same high standard and value for money. There are indeed other various suppliers of caricature stationery out there who I find to have the same drawing style as each other, but nothing like this. I encourage you to send for samples from rival companies if you still aren’t sure.
Please also bear in mind that
I handmake each individual card and use only the best materials. I will even give you a choice of quality envelope colours/types, (Including metallic and pearlescent!) – not just white or ivory! (Although there’s nothing stopping you from choosing white of ivory if that’s what you wanted!)

envelopes
Please Note: These show the approximate colours and computer screen colours generally doesn’t do the actual envelopes justice. There is no extra cost whichever you choose, but if there is no specific colour you would like then I will colour-coordinate the envelope for you.

Q. Will I need to pay extra for Postage and Packing?

A.
Parcel Delivery to UK mainland is just £6.50 although any orders over £250 will not be charged for delivery. All other areas will be quoted for individually. In the unlikely occasion that you’re not entirely happy with any of the invites, please return them to me before I replace them free of charge.

Any other queries please don’t hesitate to get in touch as I can accommodate most requirements.

I look forward to helping you to make your big day that extra bit special!

Please Note: As your stationery is printed to personal requirements, it is of utmost importance for you to thoroughly check all proofs accurately. I am unable to accept responsibility for any errors passed over by the customer or damage to orders after they have been signed for on delivery. Please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
