Helpful Hints for your Big Day!

Wedding invitations are usually sent 10-12 weeks before your wedding. You will need 1 per household and are traditionally sent by the hosts of the day. You may want to add an RSVP date, as you cannot finalise the catering or seating arrangements until all guests have replied.

Evening invitations are used to invite guests that are invited to the Evening Celebration only. Usually sent out at the same time as the Wedding Invitations. It might be useful to order a few extra just uncase you forget anybody but these are usually sent out at the same time as the day Invitations.

Reply cards are usually sent out with all invitations to allow a quick response from your guests and are also supplied with envelopes printed with your return address. This makes it more convenient for your guests to reply ASAP so you can finalise seating arrangements.

Thank you cards are a polite way to say thank you to all your guests for the gifts received. Remember to include those that could not attend the wedding.

Place cards are placed on tables at the reception to inform guests of the seating arrangements. Guests often save these cards as keepsakes, a nice reminder of your special day.

Order of the Day/Order of Service
These inform your guests of what to expect during the service, (or the days celebrations) and also a list of hymns. The Ushers usually give them out when entering the venue. Allow one per guest and extra for the choir and clergy. All order of service information should be checked by the vicar prior to ordering.
